About the Gardner Deer Club

Established 1946

Founded in 1946, the Gardner Deer Club has stood as a place of fellowship, tradition, and respect for the outdoors for more than eight decades. What began as a small gathering of local sportsmen has grown into a lasting community rooted in camaraderie and shared values.

From its earliest days, the Club was formed to encourage participation in hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports, while fostering strong friendships and mutual support among its members.

Our Purpose

The Gardner Deer Club was established to:

  • Promote hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities
  • Encourage responsible sportsmanship
  • Foster good fellowship and mutual helpfulness
  • Provide a gathering place for members and their families
  • Engage in lawful activities permitted under Chapter 180 of the General Laws

More than anything, the Club exists to bring people together.

A Tradition of Fellowship

For generations, members have gathered within these walls to share stories, celebrate milestones, host community events, and preserve the traditions of outdoor life.

Whether it’s:

  • A seasonal celebration
  • A club meeting
  • A community event
  • Or simply friends sharing conversation

The Gardner Deer Club remains a place where tradition meets community.

Serving the Community

While rooted in outdoor heritage, the Club has always been more than a sportsmen’s organization. It is a private social club dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where members can gather, connect, and build lasting friendships.

Through meetings, events, and hall rentals, the Club continues to play a meaningful role in the Gardner community.

Looking Forward

As we honor the legacy of those who founded the Club in 1945, we remain committed to preserving its traditions while welcoming future generations.

The Gardner Deer Club stands as a reminder that community, fellowship, and respect for the outdoors are values worth preserving.
